We often get the question as to why our estimate for installing an irrigation system is more than another company’s bid.
One unseen difference that makes a huge maintenance impact is the pipe thickness.
Many installers use a cheaper Class 200 pipe, which is a thin wall pipe. It often cracks at fittings when clay moves and requires more maintenance to keep running. It also cracks easily when shovels hit it.
We only use Schedule 40 pipe for irrigation lines, which is approximately twice as thick and provides much better long term performance.
We believe it is important to install an irrigation system right the first time.
