Care Instructions for Newly Planted Trees
1. Watering:
Water slowly at the base of the tree to allow moisture to reach the roots.
For the first two weeks, water once daily unless there has been heavy rainfall.
After the initial period, switch to deep watering 2–3 times per week, depending on weather and soil conditions.
Overwatering is one of the biggest killers of new trees. The roots get waterlogged in the clay soil.
2. Mulching:
Apply a 2–3 inch layer of mulch around the base of the tree to retain moisture and regulate soil temperature.
Keep mulch a few inches away from the trunk to prevent rot.
3. Staking (if provided):
Do not remove stakes unless advised by our team. They help stabilize the tree while roots establish.
4. Avoid Overcare:
Do not apply fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides unless recommended.
Keep lawn equipment and pets away from the base of the tree.
